Carleton University

Ideally located at the heart of Canada’s capital, Carleton University is a connected and compassionate research and teaching institution with a passion for driving real change in the world. From our world-renowned faculty to our diverse and passionate student body, we are united in our ambition to leverage the power of higher education as a force for good.

We do this by providing an unmatched university experience to more than 32,000 full- and part-time students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We have helped over 170,000 alumni achieve their dreams and our more than 900 faculty members are recognized internationally for their scholarship and leading research in more than 50 disciplines.

We offer more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs, a number of certificate and diploma programs, generous scholarships and plenty of opportunities to gain valuable hands-on practical experience through practicums, fieldwork, work placements and co-op programs.

We have earned our reputation for delivering world-class academic programming with proven excellence in student experience. We continue to rank within the top 5 for student satisfaction and for comprehensive universities across the country. Our unique location in Ottawa allows us to provide unrivaled experiential and co-op opportunities with government, private sector organizations and technology industries. We embrace these connections – locally through countless partnerships and globally with over 175 exchange partners in more than 35 countries.

Our beautiful riverside campus is only a short distance from Parliament Hill and a bustling downtown. The campus is well serviced by the city’s bus and light-rail system and an extensive network of bicycle paths run alongside the campus grounds. As a self-contained community, we are easy to navigate and all our campus facilities are connected via underground tunnels.
