U of T offers a 4-year program leading to a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Three years of university education (at least 15 full-year courses) required. Academic prerequisites include 1 full-year or 2 half-year courses in general biochemistry, 1 full-year or 2 half-year courses in general mammalian physiology, 2 additional full-year or 4 half-year courses in life sciences and 1 full-year or 2 half-year courses in humanities or social sciences. Students are also required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0

Candidates also must submit Canadian Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) scores.

Students already possessing an undergraduate degree may apply for admission to the Diploma program. The Diploma in Digital Communication (CDC) helps students understand the best practices of social media, virtual worlds and emerging forms of online communication.

Based on practical explorations of media theory, this program is ideal for students who want to pursue a career in digital communications. It is also geared towards students who want to augment their professional or academic pursuits with a powerful set of tools and competencies that include:

  • principles and production of social media, digital media and virtual worlds
  • online information and organization
  • creating and overseeing digital content
  • theoretical and practical application of virtual worlds and simulated spaces
  • producing and managing online communities
  • gaming, social networking, social movements, search engines, graphic design, digital imaging and website design

Diploma in Ethics

The Diploma in Ethics, offered through Western University, Department of Philosophy, is being offered as a response to a wide and growing interest in the ethical dimensions of professional and public life. The purpose of this program is to enable participants to strengthen and develop their understanding of ethics so as to enhance their ability to recognize and respond to ethical issues in a wide variety of social settings.

The Diploma in Ethics will educate students in the essential concepts, central issues, history and methodologies of ethical reasoning. The program also emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills, writing skills and verbal skills. The Diploma in Ethics is a post-undergraduate program of study that may be completed full-time in 1 year or part-time over a number of years.

Diploma in Professional Communication

Open to all students at the University, the Diploma in Professional Communication aims to develop students' writing abilities in workplace writing genres. All program courses may be credited toward other undergrad programs.

A student who does not yet possess a university degree may apply for admission to the Certificate Program in Professional Communication, which can be taken concurrently with an undergraduate degree.

Anyone with a university degree may apply for admission, subject to prerequisites and general university entrance requirements. If you do not already possess a university degree, you may apply for admission to the Certificate in Writing, which can be taken concurrently with an undergraduate degree.

If you have already been awarded an undergraduate degree, you are eligible to pursue the Diploma in Practical French. The Diploma in Practical French is a 4.0 credit program that certifies that a student has reached a certain level of proficiency in practical French communication skills.

The Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph is a leader in veterinary health care, learning and research. This 4-year professional degree is accredited by the Canadian and American Veterinary Medical Associations.  

Entrance Information and Requirements: - Completion of a minimum of 2 years of a university undergraduate degree program. Applications to DVM may be submitted during a student's third year. - Completion of 8 university-level required courses: cell biology; biochemistry; genetics; statistics; 2 biological sciences; and 2 humanities and/or social sciences. - Experience with veterinarians. - Submission of a Background Information Form. - 3 letters of reference (2 must be from veterinarians). - An interview. -CASPer Situational Judgement Test - Canadian applicants, including dual citizens, must be residents of Ontario. A "resident" is someone who has resided in Ontario for 12 months, exclusive of time spent in a postsecondary institution.

While most students attend Osgoode full-time for their 3 years of study, some students may choose to spend a term or year studying abroad, and students in the joint and combined programs will spend a portion of their time at another faculty or institution to graduate with dual degrees after 4 years.

L'étude du droit canonique consiste principalement en l'étude du Code de droit canonique. Plusieurs disciplines y sont reliées : Théologie du droit canonique, philosophie du droit, concepts fondamentaux du droit romain, éléments de droit civil, histoire des structures canoniques fondamentales en droit canonique, histoire des sources du droit canonique, la relation entre l'Église et la société civile, la pratique canonique administrative et judiciaire. On y fait également l'introduction au Code des canons des Églises orientales, l'étude du Latin ainsi que des cours optionnels, des exercices et des séminaires. Offerts par la Faculté de droit canonique, les programmes ecclésiastiques de droit canonique permettent également aux étudiants de recevoir des diplômes civils tels que le Diplôme d'études supérieures en droit canonique, le Diplôme d'études supérieures en pratique canonique ou le Diplôme d'études supérieures en administration ecclésiastique, et la Maîtrise en droit canonique.
